Depending on the product and the existing listings, we either join a listing and improve it or we create the listing from scratch. We continuously work towards improving our listings through:

    So the customer knows exactly what he/she is buying.

  • Optimizing product description
    To provide clarity and minimize the “perceived risk” for the end consumer when buying the product. 

The image included down below gives an insight into how we leverage data when conducting our market research. In this example, we are looking at a product that is bundled and that contains 3 packages of "Clorox" wipes. From the data we can see that the bundled item sells well, there are a lot of other sellers, hence the competition when advertising for this product will be high, which means we might need to be more creative in how we bring consumers to this product. From this data we can also conclude that there are a lot of other, unrelated products that consumers might look at before they buy the bundled Clorox wipes, which is an opportunity we can explore.

In this particular case of the bundled "Clorox" wipes, approximately 12.000 clicks originate from a similar product produced by a different brand, "Lysol".

A potential strategy could be to bid on the advertising of the "Lysol" wipes in order to bring the consumer to our 3 pack of "Clorox" wipes offer. As the "Clorox" wipes and the "Lysol" wipes are two very similar products, offering them in a bundle would not make sense. 

Another interesting thing that becomes clear in the image, is that more than 25.000 clicks originate from a disinfectant spray. We would need to further analyze what % of these 25.000 consumers would be interested in buying both the disinfectant wipes and spray, as there could potentially be an opportunity to bundle these two items and target these customers.
